Hello, I’m Jackie and joined the friendly Qcontrol Tuition family in September 2019, following my retirement from full time teaching after 33 fantastic years in schools! I graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Education Honours degree in Education with Music subsidiary and began my teaching career in Essex. I have extensive classroom teaching experience across the curriculum and all age ranges in the Primary sector, and have also taught English and Drama at GCSE level within the Secondary sector. During my career, I have taught class music and directed many school musical productions. I play and have taught the flute, and also dabble in the saxophone and piano. I have been a Deputy Head and a Headteacher, and gained great satisfaction from leading a team of staff.

I love teaching, and I am very much enjoying working at Qcontrol with children on a one to one basis. It gives the opportunity to develop an effective working relationship with the children and to be able to tailor their weekly sessions according to their needs. I am professional and patient, but have a good sense of humour - I love life and having fun! My interests away from work are theatre, making music and going to concerts – I love all genres of music - and football. I am looking forward to a long association with Robbie and his fantastic team
